Once upon a time there was a little girl who fell in love with doll. She loved making them clothe, building them furniture and creating a life for them that she wish was hers. She was a lonely girls but never felt alone when she was with her dolls. She grew up and was told she was to old to play with dolls, for a while she got away with it by making dolls sets for her cousins to have toys to play with as they visit but at some point she just stop and moved on to more "adult" stuff.
Years when by and she almost forgot all the fun she had creating those dolls although it was always there in the corner of her mind. Little did she know life will have a cruel twist on her and she had to figured out who she wanted to be and how to bring happy in her life again. She painted and draw a lot, that never left her, she painted strong women, fierce, heroic women with sad but determine eyes but they were not enough to fulfill her. Then last year she sold her old vacuum cleaner to pay for an online class with Danita Art from there she was hook. You would have guess by now that the little girl is myself and a year later after many experimentation I created my own pattern which is still an evolving process. :) I spent a lot of time in the last 2 weeks working on 2 new girls which are coming along pretty well. I've order some lace fabric yesterday so I will have to wait a bit to finished them which is not a bad thing since I have my guess teachers class to finished for lets face it. An year long online class dedicated to drawing faces with 17 teachers hosted by Kara Bullock. More then 400 people have join in already, you can join the fun by signing up here, By using my link you enter a giveaway for the original piece I have created for the class and to be honest she's a beauty! I'm leaving you with a few pictures of the process of creating cloth doll. I'll be back on Wednesday with my Wednesday inspiration post. Comments are closed.
