 I just realized that I've launch this site a bit over then a year ago.
When I look at the stats I'm shocked that more than 6K people took the time to visit my site, even more happy when a thousand of you come back now and then. It's my small success. The other day a girl I did not know told me I was inspiring her to make more art! It made my week and prove me that when you do let go and do what you like, people will be drawn to you. So thanks to every one of you who took the time to look at my art, comment on it, share it, it mean a great deal to me! :) this lady is very happy. I went to a thrift store las week and found a lovely blue tweed jacket and knew I had to do a bird with it, well I could do plenty actually but still here the first one. I like him a lot with is little wood beak and long legs. I added some decorating lace that I painted over. All the time I was making him I had that song from Sara Bareilles in mind. She is one of my favourite singer, she can be profound but also funny and quirky. On that note I got to pack my bag to go visit a friend and friday I'll be going on a little girl road trip with another friend, looking forward to get out of town a bit. Talk to you soon jelly beans! I'm clearly been obsess with birds in the last year, they are such amazing creature to draw, sew or paint, there is so many species it's like there is no rules to follow or to break, I create my own species. This is a little painting I did in the last week with some close up shot. The time I use unrefined bee wax to melt on top so no arch chemical for me and a pleasant smell to it as well. Yours truly is gonna be on her summer vacation in less then 4 days for a big 3 weeks! No specific plan, might go to new york for 3-4 days, that still need confirmation, another friend have invited me to spend a day in his country home which gonna be great, I love the city but I grew up in the country and once in a while I miss that big green space feeling. Another friend have also invited me over so I'll move around and will also take time to create, create, create in the middle of all the people I want to see. Finally summer is here. He took his time this year. The picture was taking last week end when Olive decided she was more important then the new pattern I was working on so I took a break with her. I have a big enough balcony to accommodate a little table and my BBQ I could cook everything outside in summer if I could. I also like the fact that I have trees in front of my appartment. For now I'm enjoying a nice summer day in Montreal in one of the public pool. I think this is the first time I publish a blog post that is not about my art. I do enjoy others things :). I when to a friend art show last week where I meet some very interesting people and artist, it was very casual and inspiring. Completely forgot to take pictures.
