 I'm very pleased to announce my new upcoming class Ladybird!
I've been mostly silent on social media lately art wise preparing, planning, thinking, rethinking putting together the bone of what is going to be my next online class. I still have a lot of filming, editing and uploading to do but I feel like I'm putting together something different and I hope you will join me in this new adventure, creating not only, powerful portraits of strong women but spread your wings and create a little differently. The class will likely be split into 3 sections. First, we will be learning the basics of drawing a bird and how to create an interesting composition. exploring different substrate to work on, (fabric, plaster, paper, wood, canvas) The first part will be all about exploring possibilities. The 2nd section will consist of 3 or 4 (more likely 4) of real-time step by step painting project from a more conventional painting) like the Harpie eagle warrior use for promoting the class) to a fully mixed media painting exploring textures and some of the substrates covered in section 1 To go a little further and share more of my love of creating birds with you I will teach you how to create a bird soft sculpture. I will share with you how to create a pattern modify it to create an infinite possibility of fabric sculpture. All of it can be created with easy to find supplies and a fun and creative way to use fabric scraps or old clothing you are no longer wearing.
