 Dear readers, For the last 10 days, I've been in a bubble, reorganizing my apartment and my thoughts, it had become a ritual for me to declutter my place and my head at the end of each year, Its something that I do quite often actually but this time of year it feels more significant. The last couple of months have been a bit of a struggle for me as it is always at the end of a big project. Trying to figure out what is gonna be my next move to grow my creative business and achieve the goals that I've set for myself. I thought of it over and over, had tons of ideas which at times can be paralyzing for me. What do I do first? So before being too overwhelmed with all of it I started with something simple and open the Kabostudio members corner, a section of my site not only for students of my paid classes but where I can also offer free tutorials, resources links and art experiments with the members. Becoming a member is completely free. I also started filming a few experiments for my upcoming classes. Customized a few dolls and generally just relaxed, it's a vacation after all. I'm going back to work tomorrow, don't really feel like it but you gotta do what you gotta do right? It's gonna be good for me to resume human contact as it has been minimal for the last 10 days, the introvert in me is rested and need human interaction. My repaint skills need improvement but that's only gonna happen with practice, I'll only do my second hands less than perfect one for a while. Although I love them Galliope (the blue hair may have her face wiped as I find her eyes to be too shaky.
A little anecdote on the title of this blog post. I put a pot of water the boil on the stove to remove the head of my monster high mermaid with that said doll close by. Well friend when you do that please make sure you turn on the right burner, I left the room for 5 minutes and came back to a burning doll… rip my sweet mermaid I hope I can find another one like you… On a plus note baking soda really works well to put out a small fire and not ruin your stove... and another anecdote for the not so proud moment of my clumsy life… Again, happy new year and may it be all that you hope and work towards for and a big bag of health and laughter on top of it!
